Westworld
I’d like to tell you about my most favourite TV programme ever: Westworld. It’s quite a recent show and although it changed significantly through from series one to four, there was many great ethical questions behind it. Here are the main reasons why I enjoyed it so much.

The Hosts (Robots)
A main theme that ran through the earlier series in particular is the idea that there is a Western theme park as in an old TV or movie Western. It has the blonde babe, the handsome gunslinger, baddies, and Indians, all revolving around the bar which is also well populated with ladies of the night. We don’t realise at the very beginning, that all of these hosts are robots, programmed to take care of the visitors’ every need!

The Administration
The viewer becomes aware that the robots are made onsite at huge laboratories underneath the park. However, while the visitors are fulfilling their every fantasy with the robots, their personal data is being uploaded to cloud storage and it is this data that makes the wildly expensive project worthwhile.

The Change
In the later series, the robots break free into the real world. The viewer is asked deep and meaningful ethical questions about what is moral and what is not. The roles gradually become reversed, and the robots hold the upper hand, only finally opting to live in digital storage rather than the ruined earth.

Recommendations
I recommend that anybody interested in technology should watch this show because some of the ideas are extremely good. However, they should watch it from the beginning, so the story unfolds in a coherent way.
