Suggestion
You have a suggestion for a park nearby where you live. Write a letter to your city’s council. In your letter include:
- what your suggestion is
- why you think this suggestion will improve the park
- when you would like to see this suggestion in action
Dear sir / madam,
I realise this may be irregular, but I am writing to you to make a suggestion about Bingley Park on Lochend Road in Safford.
My suggestion is for the local council to provide some basic exercise classes for older folk at a quieter time of the day because many of them find it difficult to exercise and have somewhere to meet.
If the local council could arrange for someone to lead a class of gentle aerobics or gentle stretching exercises or even Tai Qi, then the park would gradually become a more sociable place.
It is summer now, but I think it is important to do something before the colder weather starts. That way, it would help these older folk to keep fitter in winter and keeping them healthy, keeping their fuel costs down.
I understand that you have other issues to take care of, so I would like to offer my help to set this up. If you could reply with a time for a meeting, we could get things started.
