3 Sample Answers for the Question

How Often Do You Go Shopping for Food?

1/ Giving a reason

I rarely go shopping for food these days for two main reasons. The first reason is that much of the food that I like is easier for me to buy online. It takes much less time, and it arrives very quickly, and so that’s great. The other reason is in where I live, it’s very popular to go out and much cheaper to go out to eat rather than make things ourselves. And so, we don’t need to actually buy that much food.

2/ Speculating

We do much of our shopping online these days. I guess it would be easier to go to the market and choose fresh vegetables ourselves, choose which vegetables and which meat. I imagine that would be much better, much more reliable than waiting to find out what’s delivered. But quite frankly, that’s not so convenient.

3/ Comparing to the past

We do a lot of our shopping online for food these days, which is so much easier and so much more convenient than what we used to do. We used to have to go to the market for vegetables, go to the supermarket for meat, and then we would find ourselves trudging home carrying so many very heavy bags. It became a real chore and really unenjoyable.
